General Bearing Corporation was preferred by Cooper due to our ability to provide the high level of quality demanded in power tools at a significant savings. Southeast Regional Sales Manager, Robert Young, a 4-year employee of General, has been chosen as the coordinator for Cooper. Part of Bob’s role will be coordinating and documenting savings to Cooper Tools through product standardization, design and process improvements, and value-engineering.

While in NY, William Kurtz, V.P. of Operations, gave Jay and Tim a complete tour of General Bearing’s 190,000 sq. ft. manufacturing and distribution facility. This was followed by a demonstration of General’s modern, quality inspection equipment by Marc Yesowitz, Project Engineering Manager. David Gussack, President/CEO, then joined Jay and Tim to officially finalize and sign the agreement.

Completion of this agreement further solidifies General Bearing’s position as a major supplier of high quality/low cost bearings to the power tool industry.
