Jeff Williams

In August of this year, Jeff Williams was appointed General Bearing Corporation’s new Director of Sales and Marketing, a logical progression, given his knowledge of the company and the industry.

Jeff accepted the position enthusiastically. “General Bearing fits a unique niche in the bearing industry,” Williams commented. “We provide products at competitive pricing levels, without sacrificing quality. As companies strive to reduce their costs, without jeopardizing their brands in the marketplace, General Bearing is the logical choice to partner with. We have been manufacturing product in China for over fifteen years. In that time we have developed five manufacturing facilities that make us the leading bearing manufacturer in China supporting leading Industrial Aftermarket and OEM customers. It is exciting to be part of this
and I look forward to contributing on a broader scope in my new position.”

Jeff joined the General Bearing team in July of 1999, as Director of Distributor Sales. In this role, he displayed strong management, creative and organizational effectiveness. In January 2001 he was promoted to Sales Director, taking responsibility for the management of the OEM field sales force.

Before joining GB, Jeff spent ten years with Emerson Power Transmission (EPT) where he progressed steadily, performing well in various sales management positions. Starting with Emerson in the late 80's, he carved a successful and reputable career in sales. By the mid 90’s he was appointed Northeast Regional Sales Manager. In this position, he proved his managerial expertise by staffing, training and supporting a sales force of ten District Managers, who under his direction, surpassed sales objectives. Additionally, he was instrumental in increasing profitability and establishing and cultivating sales strategies and business plans. Jeff is a past winner of the EPT Eagle Award for Excellence in Sales.

Throughout his career Jeff has excelled at working with his customers to understand their needs and identify how he could help them achieve their goals. Whether it is working with an Industrial Distributor to develop sales strategies to grow sales and improve their profitability or working with an OEM to design a new product to meet their application needs, he enjoys the challenge. It is this desire for continual growth that has made him successful in the past and is motivating him for challenges ahead.

Jeff was born and raised in Utica, NY. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering in May of 1988. He is an active member of the PTDA and BSA.

Jeff currently lives in Glen Rock, NJ with his wife, Kim and two sons, Matthew and Patrick. An active parent, he spends all of his free time enjoying his home and family.
