GBC Appoints CFO Barry A. Morris


Mr. Morris will be of great assistance in the execution of our financial control and reporting.

IN JULY OF 1998, GENERAL BEARING CORPORATION APPOINTED Barry A. Morris to the position of Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Morris, a financial executive with fifteen years experience in senior management positions, will oversee GBC's reporting, financial control, investor relations, and treasury functions. Additionally, he will participate in evaluating acquisition candidates for the corporation.

Mr. Morris has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Connecticut and a successful track record in business. His related background includes eight years at the U.S. headquarters of BTR, Inc., a $12 billion UK manufacturer of automotive components. Progressing steadily throughout his career, he has held a variety of positions in finance, including Plant Controller, Corporate Controller and Director of Financial Services.
