Jiangsu General Ball & Roller Co., Ltd. (JGBR)

JGBR is one of five bearing and component plants operated in China by General Bearing Corporation (GBC) of New York. Having opened its first facility in China over 15 years ago, GBC was a pioneer in developing its own manufacturing base in China. Today, GBC remains the leader in maintaining a low cost/high quality supply line from its Asian plants.

JGBR is no exception to the GBC chain of success. It is the largest and most successful independent steel ball manufacturer in China. Recently constructed facilities cover over 300,000 square feet and product offerings include chrome, carbon and stainless steel balls. JGBR is an important supplier to the Chinese domestic market while also exporting to the United States, Asia, and Europe.

Like all GBC operations, quality is of paramount importance at JGBR. ISO certified since 1997 and QS-9000 certified since 2000, JGBR focuses on continuous improvement at all times. In-process inspection procedures and equipment include chemical analysis of raw material, Eddy Current testing, optical inspection by Aviko Scanners, microscopic inspection, and Steyr roundness/waviness analysis. Several million dollars have recently been invested in manufacturing development. This includes the equipment necessary to produce EMQ balls.

In an effort to provide further global support, JGBR has set up a technical support center and warehouse in New York for the distribution of products throughout North America.
